withonevoice: all is possible
withonevoice is dedicated to serving the Illinois rural, suburban, and urban communities through performances, educational trainings, and workshops. This is only made possible by the gifts from generous supporters who believe in our mission. This support helps us to train future teachers and singers how to sing all styles of music from classical to pop. It also helps us create and perform new commissioned classical, gospel, musical theatre, contemporary, and popular works that eventually will be available for choirs all over the world to perform.
Choral Internships
Each season offers the opportunity for collegiate students to audition for available choral internships. These opportunities are paid positions and allow students to gain valuable experience as members of a professional vocal ensemble.
Educational Workshops
We are deeply committed to offering educational trainings to current and future teacher and singers to help expand what's possible in the choral profession. These workshops help participants gain knowledge of how to sing varied styles of repertoire with authentic, sustainable voice qualities. Each workshop is collaboratively led by members of withonevoice.
Composer Commissions
Each season we will have commissioned composers arranging and writing new music for withonevoice. We hope to broaden the musical offerings traditionally performed in a choral concert and provide singers and the audience with authentic repertoire that represents a variety of styles and cultures. We need support from you to make this crucial part of our mission possible. Do you have a composer/arranger you'd like us to consider? Do you have a musical genre you'd like to see represented in a future concert? Do you have a piece you'd love arranged or a text you'd love to set to music? Let us know and consider sponsoring a commissioning project to have your name including on the music as a patron!
