Jennifer Rodgers is the Assistant Director of Choral Activities and a professor of voice at Iowa State University. She is also the new Artistic Director of the Ames Chamber Artists and the lead vocalist for the Indigo Monks jazz band. Jennifer began her career in opera, singing with The Washington Opera chorus, the Ithaca Opera, and the Maryland Opera Studio. As she followed her love for diverse styles, she founded Plunge! Cabaret, a theatre company that works with higher education and community service organizations to build bridges and address social issues through the arts. Her recent performances span from the alto soloist Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony in Seattle to Peony Pig/The Wolf in OINK! A Pigsical. Throughout her career, Jennifer has pursued her passion for exploring the many expressions of the human voice and is beyond thrilled to be an inaugural member of withonevoice!
