Meet the Artists

Racquel Rawlins

Racquel currently serves as the K-12 Music/Choir Teacher at Brown County Schools in Mount Sterling, Illinois. She also holds the position of choir, hand-chimes, and children's choir director at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Beardstown. Outside of her teaching responsibilities, Racquel sings as a backup vocalist and plays keyboard in a pop band called “The Aileana Rawlins Band”. Racquel recently led her students on a successful Holiday Tour and participated in the Quincy Choral Festival and the WIU Junior Honor Choir Festival. Additionally, she is set to direct the local park program musical with the Beardstown Park District in June. She received her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Western Illinois University where she was involved in many musical ensembles, including groups such as the University Singers, Bluegrass Ensemble, Opera, Concert Choir, Chamber Singers, and The A Cappella Association.
